  1. It has always been one of my favourite map mysteries. I remember reading once that both it and a medieval Turkish map could both be based on an unknown but much older map.

  2. It is well-known that the first civilization, according to the traditional history, developed in the mid-east around year 3000 BC, soon to be followed within a millennium by the Indus valley and the Chinese ones.
Göbekli Tepe is turkey 12,000 years old so that kind of kills the 3,000 year old theory dead.

    • I did some double checking, as this does seems to be a much disputed subject, and based on ‘established’ and ‘traditional’ evidence, the Mesopotamian civilization of Sumer is believed to have begun around 4000-3500 BC.

Though it is entirely possible that it could have been even earlier than that..

I simply stated that there were no civilizations ‘capable’ of mapping the area to that degree, at the time.

‘The true history of this planet is still to be told…..’

  3. Wow did not expect to find the piri reis map here, always a highly debated subject and always a matter of great interest for myself.
Really good book that starts with a look into this and other such maps is Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock which is a fantastic read. As for it’s origin who knows.
There is lots of pyramids and other structures that could only have been built with heavy machinery, Giza, Puma Punku and most of mexico.
Fascinating subject indeed, by the way check out the pyramids that have just been found in Bosnia.

    • Expect the unexpected here my friend, my interests are wide and diverse….

And quite controversial judging by some of the comments :-)

      • They are indeed my friend, individual threats are bad enough without involving family, keep your chin up and stay curious.
Only believe half of what you see and even less that you hear.

Think these things are called ooparts, like the Bagdad battery, the 600,000 year old plug.
I use a website called message to eagle and it seems quite good.

  4. A really good youtube vid is the pyramid code by Carl Munck, a good study of “sacred geometry”.
Some of the numbers in the great pyramid are just mind boggling, I want to know more about the heads on easter island as they have just discovered that they are submerged so much bigger than previously thought, the math hidden in stone henge.
Tis a fascinating world we live in, it’s just the times we live now i do not like.

  5. I’ve been following ancient civilisation theories for most of my life, since my dad bought me a book that contained the Piri map when I was 14. I’ve visited Egypt & Peru with Hancock’s Fingerprints as a guide. I am 100% convinced that the Incas are not responsible for the amazing stonework littered around Peru – but that’s an article on its own. Of primary interest to me are the megalithic builders, who left their fingerprints in Lebanon (Baalbek), Malta, Egypt (Osyrian) and Bolivia (Puma Punka). Huge blocks weighing hundreds of tons, which we’d have difficulty shifting today. I stood on the roof of the Puma Punka and was absolutely blown away. The Inca stonework is incredible, the Punka is out of this world. I don’t doubt that the site dates to 10,000 BC+ – you have to go back at least that far to justify the docks at Tiahunaco, which were once on the shores of lake Titicaca. Interesting stuff, but that’s only the most recent of the ancient civilisations.

In my opinion, the true history of humanity is buried under the Antarctic ice sheet. That’s where we started, not Africa. Our most recent/ancient cities are all under the ocean, 200ft down, thanks to rising sea levels at the end of the last ice age. Hancock has discovered several off the coast of India, which date to 7,000BC+

I would not be surprised to discover that TPTB know a lot about where we came from and are deliberately keeping it under wraps.
